Tom Cat

Tom Cat, aka the 'Tomales Bay Catboat' is a 15ft Lapstrake Catboat of a similar design to Black Cat designed by Robert Darr and built at the school during 2001. Tom Cat has more beam which will make her more stable in the stronger winds of Tomales Bay, roomier inside, and more suitable for children and novice sailors.

Apprentices and members of the Saturday Class did the lofting of TomCat and she is proving a great teaching ground for lapstrake planking.
