Loon is a shallow, dagger-board sloop designed at the school for day sailing on the Bay or for lakes anywhere. She is lapstrake planked on oak frames fastened with scews and rivets. Although a traditional wooden boat, Loon will have a modern fractional sloop rig with an aluminum mast.
